International Coastal Cleanup 2020 - Pagadian City (Sept 19, 2020)

During the Tourism Month Celebration, we participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day which is on every 3rd Saturday of September.

This year, with the current pandemic situation, we had to observe covid health protocols. So, we had to limit the number of participants and volunteers. Last year we had about 2,500 participants. This year, we had over a thousand.

Here are some photos of the activity:

We know that this one-day activity won’t magically clean all our coastal areas as people will continually throw trash anywhere until we learn to discipline ourselves. We do these kinds of activities hoping to inspire others to also take care of our environment.

Thank you to all who volunteered to be a part of this meaningful activity.
