My first ever NMYL National Convention (Feb 18-20, 2020)

National Movement of Young Legislators

24th National Convention & Election of the National Executive Committee

February 18-20, 2020 | Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City

“N.M.Y.L. Philippines Inc. also known as National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) is a 7,000 strong league of elected young lawmakers, Vice Governors, Vice Mayors, Provincial Board Members, City and Municipal Councilors, Sangguniang Kabataan and Association of Barangay Captains Federation Presidents aged 40 years old and below. The NMYL is recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and is an active member of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines.” -NMYL

I wasn’t able to attend the first day of the event due to some important meetings in Pagadian City. So the following day Feb 19, I flew PAG-CEB just in time for the elections. It was pretty fast. The system was good. Registration was hassle-free and there were a lot of facilitators. The event was well-organized.

The night after the elections, there was a short program, proclaiming the winners and a fellowship night (*meaning time to party and socialize!)

The next morning, I had a 10am flight out of Cebu.

Now off to PCL NatCon!
