What NOT to wear when visiting the Cu Chi Tunnel, Vietnam
Cu Chi Tunnel is one of the must-visit places in Vietnam if you want to know more about Vietnam’s history and experience the intense battleground during the Vietnam-American War.
I listed here some of the fashion don’ts to have a more enjoyable tour at the Cu Chi tunnels.
1. Stilettos
Do not wear stilettos, especially when you go during rainy season. It would be a nightmare! It’s quite muddy and slippery and you’ll have a hard time exploring the tunnels with those heels.
2. Short-Flowy Dresses
If you plan to experience the tunnels and crawl, it’s better not to wear a short and flowy dress. You might not be as comfortable doing some activities while constantly checking out and worry about your dress.
3. Short Shorts – for the people who are very attractive to bugs and mosquitoes
Just be sure to put on bug sprays before going to the tunnels.
4. Thick chunky Sweaters
It’s very hot and humid in Vietnam, better wear lightweight clothes. And oh, bring some handkerchiefs and sanitizers as well.
5. Deep V-neck tops/ Low neckline tops
If you plan to crawl inside the tunnels, be careful with your top when leaning forward. Better not wear those deep neckline shirts to avoid wardrobe malfunctions.
These are just some fashion advices when visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels. Some tips are just for comfort and for you to be able to enjoy the tunnels more without any restrictions because of your outfit.
