What NOT to wear in THAI Temples

If you are planning to visit temples in Thailand soon, know that some temples are more strict with dress code than others. So, I've listed here the things you might not be allowed to wear inside the temple.

1. Tank tops

If you are planning to wear a sleeveless top, better bring a jacket or a scarf with you especially if it has a spaghetti strap like mine

Oh goodness.. I thought my halter top was fine to wear in Thai temples but oh my, it wasn't.

2.   Short shorts

Same as with the tank tops which shows too much skin.

3. Mini skirts

Same as with the tank tops and short shorts, shows too much skin.

4. Stilettos

This is more on the practical side. Temples in Thailand are huge, and you can expect a lot of walking. Unless you are up for the challenge on wearing stilettos on an uneven pavement and soil then better just leave ‘em in the hotel room and wear your comfortable pair of sandals or sneakers!

5. A heavy bag

Long walks can be pretty tiring especially when bringing with you a heavy bag. So, my advice, bring only the necessary things such as your phone, camera, water, handkerchief, a cap or an umbrella, to enjoy more of the Temples!

A great option is to bring a small lightweight bag that can fit all your necessary items like this one!

And those are some of the fashion items we love to wear but might not be allowed inside the temples!
