Hong Kong is just a 2hrs and 30min flight from Manila with over 15 flights daily. The earliest flights are at 6 am (Cebu Pacific and Cathay Pacific). I, personally like to have an early flight because I can still tour and roam around the city for the rest of the day. This is also a great way to save you a one-night stay in a hotel or an Airbnb when having an early flight than having a late-night flight.

Flight fares can go as low as 2,500 pesos (one-way) especially when you book your flight early! So, if you are planning to go to Hong Kong anytime soon… checkout your airline of choice now to get low fare prices or even land a promo!

Just like in my previous blog, I strongly advise that before going to Hong Kong or anywhere, know first the activities you want to do there, whether it be shopping or going to Disneyland. This can help you choose where to book a place to stay.

For your day tour, start early! There is so much to see in Hong Kong. And as for your ride, no worries…take the MTR!

I promise you, in Hong Kong, the MTR will be your best friend. The MTR in Hong Kong for me, I think is one of the transportations that has the easiest wayfinding. Each rail lines are color-coded, and you don’t need to cross the streets just to transfer from one line to another because everything is connected.

1. Lantau Island

Hong Kong Disneyland

A must go to place in Hong Kong! And if you want a full Disney experience, you can also check in at the Disneyland Hotel, even just for one night. Park hours are between 10:30am – 8:30pm.

Avenue of the Stars

So sad to tell you guys that the Avenue of Stars is closed for redevelopment and will be expected to reopen in February 2019.

On the bright side, some of the features of the Avenue of the Stars are relocated to Tsim Sha Tsui East Waterfront Podium Garden and temporarily known as Garden of Stars. You can still see there the sculptures of Bruce Lee and other movie stars. This is a great place to visit for those interested in movie-related exhibits.

3. Hong Kong Island

Ocean Park

If you love animals and amusement parks? Then Ocean park is the place for you! Aside from the thrilling roller coasters and rides, they also have an oceanarium and a panda village.

 If you plan to visit Ocean Park, park hours are between 10am - 6pm, and again, purchase your tickets ahead of time to avoid long queues.
