My First Time SKIING! (Dec. 24, 2018) - My Korea Trip

It’s been a month since our Korea Trip. In this blog series, I’m going to share with you guys what we did on our trip!

Day 2 - (December 24)

We decided to transfer hotels to Welli Hilli Park, a ski resort in South Korea. Everyone was so excited to try skiing, snowboarding, and even making snow angels! It was a fun-filled day full of firsts. This was my first time going to a ski resort, let alone SKIING.

So, when we arrived at the resort. We went to the counter, got our boards, ski poles and changed into this SKI WEAR. I honestly didn’t know a single thing about skiing... And, I thought an instructor would be there outside waiting for us and teach us the basics. Buuuut, you guessed it. No one was there.. Ooops

Me, in my full SKI WEAR and equipment!

Took off the goggles… couldn’t see properly! (*just for the photo)

It took me a whole minute to figure out how to attach my shoe to the board! When I finally did it, my next problem was how to move forward. I kept trying to lean forward, bend my knees, use my poles, but it seems to me that I’m not gaining velocity. I was even moving backwards… I NEVER THOUGHT SKIING WAS THIS HARD!!!!

Maybe that’s just me, but hey at least I didn’t give up. After a while, I kinda..sorta..maybe.. got the hang of it. It was a fun, tiring, adventurous day! I would definitely recommend putting SKIING on your bucket list. It’s a must try!

It was also EXTRA fun because my whole family was with me. We decided to spend our Christmas Eve on the Ski Resort.

Thanks for reading!!!

Love,
